Difficulties in the North and South

Jane Pittman taught me that even after the Civil War racial intolerance was a big deal. Jane struggled to find a place where she would be accepted. In Raisin in the Sun Ruth and Walter are trying to move into a dominantly white neighborhood in Chicago. Even though this is way after the Civil War and in the North, the white people are still set in the mindset the white people are better than black people. I learned that racial intolerance can be fought but the fight is never over.

Favorite Thanksgiving Traditions

Thanksgiving is always fun in our family. I get to go to Ohio to see all of my family. My cousins are always great and I don't get to see them a lot because we live so far away. That's a big part of why Thanksgiving is great. My whole family usually gets together to watch football and eat good food. my grandmother never fails to cook a great meal every year, so that is always great. Then me and all of my cousins play some kind of sport/sports. Usually football soccer or basketball. So all in all Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year.

Julius Caesar Project

I was actually pretty proud of how my Julius Caesar: Conspiracy Webpage turned out. I chose to do a website outlining the plans and methods of how the Roman conspiracy would be played out through the eyes of Brutus. The only source of information I really needed was the play itself. To create the actual website I used a website called Wix.com that allows you to create a free webpage. There is a link at the bottom if you want to access my project.

Just an Every Day Pinata

One day I was just minding my own business sitting on my shelf. When someone came out of nowhere and BOUGHT me! Can you believe it? Anyway that's not even the worst part. First he bound me and hung me from a tree. Then some children CHILDREN all in blind folds and baseball bats. They beat me like it was funny... when I could take no more they split my stomach open and ate what was inside me... I've been permanently scared. The life of a pinata is a sad one.

Musical Instruments

I can play multiple musical instruments. Music is my passion, so over the years I've become bored and picked up another instruments. Right now I can play french horn, trumpet, baritone, tuba, piano, and guitar. French horn was a great instrument to start on, because it is a very versatile instrument. After horn all other brass instruments are relatively easy to learn. Piano was a great instrument to learn too. It is the most technically difficult instrument because it requires both hands, which means to different sets of music. Music is my favorite pastime, so I love to keep learning new instruments. I'm very glad that I can play so many instruments.

Romans 12:2- My Favorite Verse

My favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:2. "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." This verse shows me that as a person every Christian needs to stand out above non-Christians. They need to be looked on as Godly people. Christians need to have a renewed mind and through their mind change their actions.

Animoto Experience

http://animoto.com/play/WWZ0Gueq0NKlSrfVqRDAAQ
I actually enjoyed this project. my group which was Preston, Colton, and myself. Animoto is fairly simple to operate. You pick a template out of the ones it gives you. Once you've done that you can just insert text and images anyway you want too. It even lets you download them off social media. after that you just pick a song out of the many ones it has on the website and you done. I learned that theme is the message of the topic that a story conveys to the reader.
